September 13th 2007

Helispec delivered an OH-58D back to Ft Rucker after completing a crash damage repair. The aircraft arrived back in June of this year. You can see a testimonial from our Customer here.

Helispec delivered another aircraft back to the National Guard today.

                                  

August 17th 2007

A busy day today at Helispec, two National Guard Units came today to pick up their aircraft. Both had art work on them that was successfully re-created by Helispec employees. One of the aircraft had an interesting story behind the name Hawkeye II. You can read about the story at http://www.chinook-helicopter.com/history/aircraft/D_Models/91-00230/91-00230.html . Helispec was pleased to be able to restore the art work on both aircraft.

Another busy day at Helispec, the US Army delivered another aircraft to Helispec today for work to be performed, in addition  to the Army National Guard delivering an aircraft and picking one up.

                                   

 

July 3rd 2007 through July 27 2007

Helispec delivered and received numerous aircraft to and from their customers, these aircraft were a combination of CH47's and UH-60's.

June 29th 2007

Helispec, a growing world leader in helicopter repair and overhaul announced today the award of another US Navy contract. The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, Maryland, awarded an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract to procure technical and engineering support for the TH-6B aircraft program at the United States Naval Test Pilot School at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.  

The contract was a sole source award, Helispec will provide engineering services comprised of, but not limited to, activities such as engineering, investigations, Rapid Action Minor Engineering Change (RAMEC) development, overhaul/rework procedures, publication reviews and updates, manufacture of parts (both stocked-numbered and non-stock numbered) and drive-in repair of the aircraft. The contract is for $1 million, this contract has a one year base with four one year options. Helispec has been working closely with the US Navy at Patuxent River on several contracts and this is the second contract awarded.

                                                                                      

Helispec is located in Brantley, South Alabama close to the home of Army Aviation, Ft Rucker. Helispec has performed     work for the US Army, US Navy, National Guard, local and government agencies. Helispec has facilities that                         can accommodate up to 11+ CH-47 size aircraft in work simultaneously; Helispec also boasts a state of the art paint        shop and paint booth which can accommodate some the largest helicopters to date. Helispec’s  spectrum of Repair           and Overhaul services includes in house reworks, paint shop, avionics, upgrades, structural repairs/upgrades,          component overhaul materials management, Composite Repairs and logistics in addition to 24/7 Customer support             and contact teams. Helispec prides themselves on their turn times and quality of work.

June 28th 07

Another flies home, Helispec delivered another aircraft back to the US Army today, they left one with us that needed work performed and took one we had completed.

                                                              

June 21st 2007

Helispec saw another aircraft flu home today, the CH47 from the Army National Guard was the first CH47 that Helispec performed a complete strip, corrosion prevention, and repaint of the Bilge Area of the CH47. In addition Helispec also completed the re-paint of the exterior of the aircraft to include new stencils. Helispec is proud of the turn time and quality of work that they produce. This aircraft took approximately 20 days to complete from start to finish. A normal exterior repaint  can be accomplished in 7-10 days dependant on the condition of the aircraft.

Helispec sent another aircraft home today, the National Guard brought one to us and took the completed aircraft home.

                                                  

June 7th 2007

Helispec received it's first OH-58D, the contract was awarded on June 5th with the arrival of the aircraft today. The aircraft will be onsite for several weeks as the structural repairs are completed.

Another aircraft flies home, a UH-1 that flew in to Helispec in May was picked up by the customer, Brantley Fire Department was on site to ensure the safety of everyone.

Another flies home, today the National Guard arrived to leave one aircraft and pick up one aircraft that Helispec has been working on.

                                                  

June 4th 2007

Helispec today received it's first contract to repair a crashed damaged OH-58D, the aircraft currently located at Ft Rucker will arrive at Helispec sometime this week. 

May 23rd 2007

Helispec received a UH-1 from a returning customer, the aircraft should be onsite for approximately 7-10 days before returning home.

                                                       

May 22nd 2007

Helispec returns one of the UH-60's that flew in earlier this month. Pictures show before and after. Another should leave here tomorrow with other aircraft being left for work to be performed.

Helispec received the first CH47 from the National Guard, this aircraft will undergo some major work before being returning home.

                                           

May 11th 2007

Helispec received a Purchase Order today from a previous customer who had moved their work to another company,  Helispecs quality and turn times was a direct determining factor for the work to be brought back to Helispec. The purchase order is for work to be performed on UH-1 aircraft for a prime contractor of the CSS contract the aircraft should arrive mid May.

 

May 8th 2007

Helispec was busy today as aircraft arrived from the National Guard for work to be performed. This was the first two of several UH60’s and CH47 aircraft that have been contracted with Helispec to have work performed. A CH47 is scheduled in later next week.

 

                                               

April 2nd 2007

Another CH47 leaves Helispec heading back home after having work performed looking as good as new.

Another CH47 arrives for work to be performed. This aircraft should leave within the next seven days.

The first if the CH47 Chinooks flew in to Helispec today. Helispec hope to turn this aircraft within 10 days.

As Helispec tries to meet all the needs of it's customers in all arenas, Helispec now offers customer air brush painting for  your aircraft. Helispec can offer painting services to any customer whether it be high gloss, airbrushed or military paint schemes.

The Helispec group returned home safely from the HAI convention in Orlando, below are pictures of the aircraft that was on display in their booth, this aircraft will most likely be taken to most of the trade shows that Helispec attends.

Helispec was awarded a contract today to perform work on CH47 aircraft located at Ft Rucker. These aircraft will fly in to the Helispec Facility beginning the week of March 5th 2007.

Helispec delivered Tuscaloosa Police Departments aircraft back to them, the aircraft had been in the Helispec facility for an exterior repaint.

Helispec is progressing nicely with the new structures building, this building is being constructed for numerous up coming contracts. Helispec hopes to provide employment for a significant number of qualified personnel.
