addition to the exhaust ejectors provides numerous
benefits. By deflecting the exhaust gases 30 degrees
from the exhaust ejector, the following advantages are
experienced:
- Lower temperatures on the
tailboom bonded panels
- Reduced temperatures at the
No. 3 drive shaft bearing location
- Less damage to the tailboom
paint finish
- Significant reduction in soot
deposits on tailboom

temperature drop with Exhaust Deflectors installed: 43.3
degrees C (110 F)
850 Exhaust Deflector sets are in
service globally and 32 units are monitored regularly:
- 11 Exhaust Deflectors have
exceeded 2800 hours of service
- 1 Exhaust Deflector has
exceeded 6300 hours of service
Exhaust Deflectors
are supplied complete with comprehensive installation
instructions (illustrated where applicable), maintenance
manual supplement, all hardware required for
field fitment, copies of TC & FAA Approvals,
certification and warrantied for a period of 1 year or
1000 hours of service (whichever comes first) after date
